Why is it important to package-sell life and health?
“The most important thing is that we take care of the client’s needs, and it’s been proven that our clients don’t have enough life insurance because they either haven’t been talked to anyone about life insurance or they just don’t know what to do about it. So if we can teach our agents to package-sell life with a client’s health insurance, then we can help them take care of two of the client’s needs at once. Ultimately, package-selling life with health insurance – rather than having agents do an add-on after a sale – will increase success in getting the life insurance sale included in the health insurance sale.”
Is life insurance something people just don’t think they need?
“Well, I’ve seen first hand when a family doesn’t have life insurance and then what happens to them because they don’t have life insurance. The families left behind are not only emotionally distraught from losing a family member, but financially they are also affected by losing the breadwinner. I’ve also seen the opposite of when a family does have life insurance. While the emotional distress can’t be overcome, at least the financial burden is lifted. I’d say everybody needs to talk to somebody – talk to an insurance agent – about getting the right amount of life insurance to take care of their needs.”
