GWIC Cash and Concert Trip Incentives
Great Western Insurance Company (GWIC) is offering agent incentives for those meeting sales goals through the first six months of 2023. From January 1 to June 30, 2023, agents selling GWIC Final Expense products can give their clients peace of mind and can benefit themselves with cash bonuses and other prizes. Are you a fan of the talented renowned musician and singer Billy Joel? If you reach agent-incentive goals, you have the chance to see Billy Joel perform in concert at Madison Square Garden in New York City. If you’re in the mood for a melody, the Piano Man will have you feeling alright.
During the qualification period, agents must achieve a taken rate of 65% or higher with at least 40% of business issued as first-day coverage or graded benefit (Great Assurance® or Graded Benefit) policies. GWIC describes this incentive taken rate as the number of taken policies divided by the total applications submitted (minus any pending applications and any policies that have been issued but are not yet effective). GWIC further explains that a taken policy is any policy that goes into force and has a retained premium.
You can earn cash and other prizes with each plateau you reach. You can also double your cash bonus. If you achieve a taken rate that exceeds 80%, then your cumulative bonus doubles. The doubled bonus only applies to those who qualify and only pays out on cash awards.
What level must I achieve for agent incentives?
Agents must sell a minimum of five taken policies to reach the first cash bonus level. Cash-award plateaus continue with 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 40, and 50 taken policies. Upon selling 50 taken policies, agents will receive two tickets to an exclusive GWIC home office art tour in Des Moines, Iowa. They may also attend an agent advisory meeting with company leaders. Furthermore, selling a minimum of 65 taken policies will net agents Tumi luggage worth a value of $700. Selling at least 85 taken policies garners an agent a trip for two to see Billy Joel perform at Madison Square Garden in New York City. If an agent is able to sell a minimum of 100 GWIC final expense policies during this six-month period, the agent will be eligible to receive a Cartier Tank watch, a value of $3,000.
GWIC will determine final incentive eligibility on September 1, 2023, and incentive payouts will occur on or around September 15, 2023.
If the stated prizes are unavailable at the time of payment, GWIC awards an equivalent prize. Please see the GWIC flyer for additional rules and details.
