North American Company has not been taking a summer vacation, insteadĀ they have been working to update and improve their Underwriting Requirements. Effective immediately on June 22, 2017, North American Company has discontinued Personal History Interviews. Personal History Interviews have been replaced with an Electronic Inspection Report (EIR) and National Credit File (NCF). Discontinuation of Personal History Interviews
We are happy to advise you that we are updating our Underwriting Requirements. Effective immediately, we have replaced the Personal History Interview with an Electronic Inspection Report (EIR) and National Credit File (NCF).
The Electronic Inspection Report and National Credit File are database checks and do not involve a phone interview or any direct contact with the proposed insured.
We are also making this change retroactive to all applications pending approval. All processing of existing Personal History Interviews have been stopped and replaced with our new Database Checks.
North American Company’s Database Checks will save clients time in more ways than one. Utilizing the Database Checks makes all the information readily available to the underwriter for a faster decision and the client will not have to spend the additional time to answer a lengthy series of questions. Empower Brokerage is confident this change will assist agents in getting their clients through North American Company’s underwriting process more efficiently, meaning agents will also get paid faster.
